THE MAKERS’ HUB
The Makers’ Hub is a co-working creative studio space for you to come and get your make on. It’s perfect for small business owners who need more space than their dining table to prepare their products. It’s also super-nice to be able to talk to other adults during the day whilst you’re working, no?!
We have a growing collection of equipment for members to use, including a kiln, a 3D printer, and an Adana 8×5 printing press (letterpress, anyone??). Check out our equipment page for more information on everything we have.
We also run workshops every week, ranging from Crochet, to Resin Jewellery, Candles and Glass Etching, Sewing for Beginners, to Graphic Design, Small Business Basics, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. Also don’t forget Silversmithing, Painted Ceramics, Beauty Balms… and so much more to come. Check out the Workshops page to see what’s currently on offer!
We want people to make stuff every day.
The space is amazingly beautiful, with an abundance of natural light, pretty stuff on the walls and more to see every time you come in. You can hire the venue for your next private function, workshop, class or meeting, and we also have a range of Party Packages for adults (perfect for baby showers, hens nights or birthdays) or kids parties (we can do EVERYTHING for you, you just bring the cake).
THE MAKERS’ HUB LOCATION
The Makers Hub is located at Unit 70 of the new Mystére Building (next to the BP service station opposite the Jamison Centre), on 27 Wiseman Street, Macquarie.
We are 100 steps from the Jamieson Centre, a one minute walk from the well renowned Ricardos Café, and just around the corner from the Trash & Treasure markets on Sunday mornings in the Jamieson Centre carpark.
We are 2 minutes from Belconnen Mall, 10 minutes from Civic centre (up Belconnen Way or Parkes Way), 13 minutes from Woden (up the Parkway), 26 minutes from Tuggeranong and 1hr 6 minutes from Goulburn.
Weekdays you can catch bus #10 which leaves every half hour from Belconnen or Civic and disembark at stop D, Jamison Centre. On weekends it’s bus #942, and comes every hour. When you get off the bus, head down the road between the green BP Servo and the red and blue Salvos store, we are the second store on the right, just after Hoa Lu alterations with the dresses in the window.
There is limited parking directly out the front of The Hub on Wiseman Street, with more spaces over the road in Lawry Place. There is ample parking across the road in the Jamison Centre car park (except on a Sunday when the markets are on!). If it is raining, you can park in the visitor car park of the Mystére building, the driveway is on Redfern Street immediately ofter the BP service station, or Bindubi Street after the Bindubi/Redfern St lights.
