I visited the Handmade Canberra Markets late last year and interviewed a bunch of my friends to find out how they got started and what advice they might have for YOU to take the plunge and apply to sell your thing at a local market. Today on #MakersTV I chat to Aidan of Cut Throat Knives.

In this episode of the The MakersTV, I chat with Aidan of Cut Throat Knives. Aidan discovered knife-making through a love of food. His primary goal is to enhance the joy of cooking by making beautiful, long-lasting and well-built kitchen tools. Aidan’s passion for food can be seen in every knife he makes, and they are built to provide a lifetime of cooking enjoyment.

Aidan has always that he wanted to pursue something creative at one point and food has always been a huge passion. So to him, being able to marry up his enjoyment of food, cooking and creative design worked really well. Looking back at his career before setting up his own business, Aiden shares that he realized how he would have struggled in an  environment. Working for himself, setting his own schedule and making things with his own hands is just exactly what makes him happy.

If you want to know more Aidan and his wonderful products, head on over to his website at Cut Throat Knives! or read his journey on starting his own business on our blog post Meet the Maker – Cut Throat Knives.

CAN YOU CONFIDENTLY SAY YOU ARE WORKING ON THE RIGHT THING, RIGHT NOW IN YOUR BUSINESS?

Sometimes, even when we are doing all the right things, it can feel like we’re spinning our wheels and not moving forward at all. This could be because you’re focusing on the wrong area of your business – or doing all the right things, but at the wrong time.
