I visited the Handmade Canberra Markets late last year and interviewed a bunch of my friends to find out how they got started and what advice they might have for YOU to take the plunge and apply to sell your thing at a local market.
In this episode of MakersTV, I chat to Kylie of Wombat and Poss. Kylie and I met several year ago through the handmade community =)
Wombat & Poss is about beautiful, simple and stylish clothing and accessories for babies and children that lets them explore and play. Kylie’s designs have clean, simple lines making them easy to wear and great for self-dressing toddlers. No frills, fussy zips or buttons to contend with! Her clothes and accessories are designed to last, with pants becoming shorts and dresses becoming tops as children grow.
Kylie is passionate about creating ethical clothing, particularly using natural and organic fabrics and fibres and source many of her supplies locally. Everything in her range is hand-knitted and sewn by Kylie in Canberra, Australia, using the age-old techniques. The Wombat & Poss style is heavily influenced by Scandinavian and Japanese design and she loves experimenting and evolving her designs and range.
